TOYOTA

Hmm, when I want to write about this subject, I find some problem to choose which company is the most creative. For me, this is because there are many creative companies in this world. Huh, thanks god that I had my choice, and the choice of mine is TOYOTA. Yes, TOYOTA. Toyota is a real big company, isn’t it? You all will agree about this, but for creative company, I don’t know your answer In this writing, I will try to show you some reasons to chose Toyota for my creative company.

To know all the background of this company you can just instantly google it. These some background that I got:

In 1933, Toyoda Automatic Loom Works created a new division devoted to the production of automobiles under the direction of the founder’s son, Kiichiro Toyoda. Kiichiro Toyoda had traveled to Europe and the United States in 1929 to investigate automobile production and had begun researching gasoline-powered engines in 1930.[15] Toyoda Automatic Loom Works was encouraged to develop automobile production by the Japanese government, which needed domestic vehicle production partly due to the worldwide money shortage and partly due to the war with China.[16] In 1934, the division produced its first Type A Engine, which was used in the first Model A1 passenger car in May 1935 and the G1 truck in August 1935. Production of the Model AA passenger car started in 1936. Early vehicles bear a striking resemblance to the Dodge Power Wagon and Chevrolet, with some parts actually interchanging with their American originals.[16]

Although the Toyota Group is best known today for its cars, it is still in the textile business and still makes automatic looms, which are now computerized, and electric sewing machines which are available worldwide.

During the Pacific War (World War II) the company was dedicated to truck production for the Imperial Japanese Army. Because of severe shortages in Japan, military trucks were kept as simple as possible. For example, the trucks had only one headlight on the center of the hood. The war ended shortly before a scheduled Allied bombing run on the Toyota factories in Aichi.

In 1982, the Toyota Motor Company and Toyota Motor Sales merged into one company, the Toyota Motor Corporation. Two years later, Toyota entered into a joint venture with GM called NUMMI, the New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc, operating an automobile manufacturing plant in Fremont, California. The factory was an old General Motors plant that had been closed for several years. Toyota then started to establish new brands at the end of the 1980s, with the launch of their luxury division Lexus in 1989.

From this information above, do you agree with me?

For me, those activities are truly creative things. Those activities is done in 1933 and the years after that. There was only a few company would think like that in that time. The Fouder of Toyota in the first time didn’t know how to make cars. But they are eager to try. In the first step they go to America just to know how to make it. Then they make cooperation with GM, which is the biggest automotive company in that time. It’s a smart move, right? But then, with all creativity of Toyata, they made this know nothing company to became the best automotive company in the world. Other reason for me is, Toyota made automotive things for all segment of customer in the market. Toyota has Lexus for the luxury cars, Daihatsu and Isuzu for trucks and lower level car, Yamaha for motorcycle, and TRD for the racing division. This made Toyota can make bigger profit and became the leader of automotive company in the world.

Toyota also has some brilliant creative philosophy of operation system that inspired all company and people in the world. The Toyota way even had applied by several companies to reach the success result in operation activities. We can see “The Toyota Way” books that made by several authors are become one of the best seller book in around the world.

JDM (Japanese domestic market) things and TRD also made Toyota products get more attention from car freak. JDM TRD is upgrade racing product that only sold in Japan. This is creative ways from Toyota also, because, the product is all limited. When every one hunts for this product, the price will increase. For car freak, it’s self satisfaction to have the JDM TRD products

Toyopet Model A 1947:

Toyota Crown 01 1957

The legend of Toyota Corolla Treuno AE86

Toyota  Supra 1997

Toyota Yaris 2008

I have too much word to describe the creativeness of Toyota. But I can argue that Toyota is creative company.
